Parent Angle is our term for the BPHS's Parent Council
The Parent Angle is open to all parents/carers (the parent forum) and, like most parent groups, exists to focus on supporting the school and addressing any issues or concerns of the parents. How do I contact the Parent Angle?

Who can attend Parent Angle Meetings?
All parents/carers of BPHS pupils in S1-S6 are welcome. No strings attached - you could come along and just listen, it is up to you.
Attending a meeting does not mean you will end up with a 'job'. We want your opinion and views so that we can make BPHS the best it can be for our young people.
If you would be interested in taking a more active role, perhaps a position on the committee as an officer, then please let us know, using the above email address.
Planned Meeting Diary
Meetings usually take place 1 per term and are included in the school diary available on this website.
The first meeting of each academic session starts with the AGM (annual general meeting) where role holders are voted in and takes place in September.

How long? about 1.5 hours
The typical agenda includes headteacher report, discussion of pertinent issues, treasurer report, fund raising & fund spending discussions.

Remit
The remit of the Bertha Park High School Parent Angle will be to discuss issues relating to:
- The progress of Bertha Park High School
- Consultation on school policies and policy requirements
- Communication
- Business issues
- The format and content of meetings to be held with parents during the project
Roles / Responsibilities
The role of each parent in the focus group is to:
- Represent the wider parent council membership
- Provide feedback to and from the meetings
- Encourage parental involvement and engagement within each of the communities

Fundraising
Bertha Park High School Lottery
Club members will pay £1 per week, per ticket and will be entered into a weekly draw for a cash prize. There is also a chance to scoop a £25k jackpot! The draw will take place each Saturday at 8 pm and the winner will be contacted by email to advise of their prize.
